Time
Most of what this site costs is hours, not dollars -- transcription, footnoting, glossary work, accessibility passes, link audits. Mine, and Pikes Peak Web Designs'. Not billed.
What I don't do
No ads, no sponsorships, no donations, no patron tier, no paywall, no mailing list. Ethics has the reasoning.
If costs go up
The text and the corpus ZIPs stay free. The ZIPs are mirror-friendly: anyone can rehost the archive on Cloudflare Pages, GitHub Pages, Netlify, an S3 bucket, or a plain Apache server. If the domain lapses, the site moves to a new address. No lock-in.
