Each curve is weighted by how often two categories show up together in the same work — Religion and Freethought share many works; Tributes and Law share fewer.

Eleven category nodes, sized by how many of the 177 Dresden works carry concepts from that category. Curves connect every pair of categories that share at least one work; thicker curves mean more shared works. The layout is fixed (categories are placed clockwise from the top in their canonical order) so the graph is comparable across builds — only the edge weights change as the concept index grows.

How to read this

  • Node size — number of distinct works that carry concepts from this category.
  • Curve weight — number of works that carry concepts from both categories at either end.
  • Layout — categories laid clockwise from the top in their canonical order; the layout is deterministic so the graph is comparable across builds.
  • Provenance — the underlying concept assignments come from the concept index, generated from the printed Conway index and verified per work.
